Kelly Billingsley, 51, of Fairfield, IA, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the Jefferson County Hospital Emergency Room.Visitation will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Olson~Powell Memorial Chapel from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Hillsboro Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.Born December 10, 1965, in Fairfield, IA, Kelly was the son of Kenneth and Nancy (Cook) Billingsley. He attended Union High School in Biggsville, IL, and later continued his education at Monmouth College and the University of Maryland. Growing up Kelly enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trapping with his father, along with helping his mother can vegetables from the garden. In his youth, he taught himself to play the guitar. He began working with his father at a young age in the construction business in Illinois. Following his college years, Kelly was engaged in various types of employment and entrepreneurial endeavors. He made it a point to see all 50 states and traveled to many other regions of the world, as well. Kelly was an avid history buff and an American patriot. Survivors include a brother, Jim (Marsha) Billingsley of Oquawka, IL, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends.Preceding Kelly in death were his parents.
