Keith Young

Williamsburg-G. Keith Young was born May 30, 1942 in Kahoka, Missouri, the son of Gilbert and Beulah (Dice) Young. He attended rural school and graduated from Kahoka High School. Keith was united in marriage to Elsie Briner on December 15, 1972 in Princeton, Missouri. He has worked at the Lucas County Memorial Hospital, Iowa County Ambulance Service, Sullivan Graphics and he retired from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He attended the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Williamsburg. Keith enjoyed reading, a good joke and watching tennis. Keith passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 72 years.

He is survived by his wife Elsie of Williamsburg; two daughters: Dixie (Ed) Bandy of Nevada, Missouri and Darla (Dave) Hulseberg of Williamsburg; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren and a sister: Virgie Courtney of Kahoka, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Ken and two sisters: Lorena and Verena.

Celebration of Life Visitation will be Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial will be at a later date. A general memorial has been established. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
