Keith L. Boese, 56, of Osage Beach, MO, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Thursday, May 3, 2007, at the Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. Visitation will begin after 12:00 noon on Monday, May 7, 2007, at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday evening. Mr. Boese's body will be cremated following the visitation. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethel Mennonite Church, north of Wayland, IA, with Pastor Phil Slabaugh officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his memory. Born November 11, 1950, in Mt. Pleasant, IA, Keith was the son of Harold E. and Dorothy A. Roth Boese. He was a 1968 graduate of WACO High School, and attended the University of Northern Iowa. On September 22, 1973, he married Lucinda Michael in Pendleton, IN. After his marriage, Keith was engaged in farming. He later was employed by Pioneer Hi-Bred International for several years. Keith moved to Missouri eight years ago, and for the past five years, has been dedicated to the success of the Big Bear Resort. Fishing with his buddies was a favorite pastime for Keith and indulging in the beauty and nature of the Lake of the Ozarks. His greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Jackson. Survivors include two sons; Ryan (Kristin) Boese of Noblesville, IN, and Brady Boese of West Des Moines, IA; one grandson, Jackson Boese of Noblesville, IN; his parents, Harold and Dorothy Boese of Wayland, IA; two brothers, Dean (Terri) Boese of Harrisonburg, VA, and Gary (Marlene) Boese of Hesston, KS; and four sisters, Karen (Mike) Bates of Washington, IA, Kathie (Bill) Grimm, Shirley (Gary) Wade, and Annette (Merlin) Boshart, all of Wayland, IA. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents.
