Katie M. Hershberger was born Monday, December 18, 1933 in Kalona, Iowa the daughter of Daniel J. and Mary (Helmuth) Hershberger. She accepted Christ in her youth and was a faithful member of the Old Order Amish Church. She has lived in the Kalona community most all of her life where she was a housekeeper and enjoyed quilting. Katie died on Monday, September 19, 2005 at Parkview Manor in Wellman following a brief illness at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 1 day. Katie is survived by four brothers and one sister - Rueben Hershberger and wife Wilma of Sheridan, Oregon; Lois Brenneman and husband Paul of Kalona; Tobias Hershberger and wife Annie of Bloomfield; Isaac Hershberger of Riverside; Henry Hershberger and wife Alma of Napanee, Indiana; a brother-in-law Jonas Kinsinger and wife Dorothy of Oakland, Maryland; and many nieces and nephews. Katie was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister - Ida Kinsinger.
