KEOTA-Kathryn Tadlock, age 87, of Keota, died Thursday, November 10, 2011, at Maplewood Manor in Keota. Kathryn was born August 1, 1924, in Delta, Iowa, to Earl and Lira (Ewing) Hart and graduated from Keota High School in 1941. She worked for the government in California and Washington, D.C. during World War II. On June 26, 1946, she married Talbert Tadlock at her grandmother's home in Delta. Kathryn worked at Lyle Insurance, the A.A. Hulse Store and alongside her husband Buzzy for many of their 65 years of marriage. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Church of Faith in Keota, the T.T.T. Society and the V.F.W. Auxiliary for many years. Survivors include her husband: Talbert "Buzzy" Tadlock of Keota; two sons: John (Kate) Tadlock of Port Byron, Illinois and Keith (Sandy) Tadlock of Friendswood, Texas; five grandchildren: Michael Tadlock, David (Becky) Tadlock, Amber Tadlock, Kristen Tadlock and Madelyn Tadlock; sister-in-law: Marilee Hart of McHenry, Illinois and brother-in-law: Robert Meinhart of Winona, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Paul in infancy,William and Kenneth and two sisters: Iris Meinhart and Neva Boyer. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2011, at the United Church of Faith in Keota, with Rev. Dennis Hopes officiating. Burial will be at Keota Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2011, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota. A general memorial fund has been established.
