Karen White

June 29, 1942 — November 26, 2024

Karen Kay White was born June 29, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The daughter of Glenn and Catherine (Williams) Adams. Karen grew up in Solon and moved to Lisbon. She was united to Dale White in 1959 and eventually moved to rural Wellman. She worked at the Kalonial Townhouse, Hy-Vee as a demonstrator and Mid Prairie High School kitchen, so she could keep track of the grandkids.

She enjoyed working with the Wellman Boy Scouts as a assistant leader and enjoyed crafts, family dinners and just talking with people.

On November 26, 2024 she passed away at Parkview Care Center, Fairfield, Iowa at the age of 82 years.

She is survived by 2 children, Lisa (Bob) VonSpreecken of North English and Lois (Stephen) Keller of Fairfield. 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a brother Kenneth Adams (Roberta) of Clinton, Illinois.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Lee White and a grandson Matthew Keller.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Sharon Hill Cemetery.
