Justin Michael Steiner

Justin Michael Steiner was born May 15, 2005 in Cumberland County, North Carolina.  The son of Arthur Tousignant and Claudia Steiner.  He has lived in North Carolina, Maryland, Washington and California, before coming to live with his parents Arthur and Heidi Tousignant on Christmas 2017 in Iowa.  He participated in wrestling to challenge himself and earned his varsity letter.  Justin was preparing to graduate from Mount Pleasant Community High School in May 2023.  He loved video games, Pokemon, hiking and anything candy, especially anything sour. His sense of humor was sometimes strange.  He had a knack for remembering names and usually in a polite manner of greeting anyone he ran into, whether he knew them or not.  Justin died Sunday, April 2, 2023 at his home at the age of 17 years.

He is survived by his parents, Arthur and Heidi Tousignant of Mount Pleasant and Claudia Steiner of California; half brothers and sisters, Aaron Mussert of Texas, Keith Shock of Colorado, Emily Williams of Washington, Catrina Hudson of North Carolina, Mary Diaz of Iowa, Clarindia Whitfield of Arkansas, James Tousignant and Christina Tousignant both of North Carolina, Franklin Tousignant of Iowa, and step brothers and sister, Julius-Caesar Wilson of Texas, Damion Tousignant of North Carolina,

Alexander Wilson of Italy, Ariana Fuentes of Oklahoma, and Abraham Wilson of Iowa.

Celebration of Life Memorial will be 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant.  Visitation will be Saturday from noon to service time.  A general memorial fund has been established.  Messages and tributes may be directed to www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
