Juanita K. Plowman

Juanita K. Plowman, age 86, of Marengo, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Compass Memorial Healthcare. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is caring for Juanita and her family.

Juanita is survived by her children, Vicki (Dave) Benson of Delta; Becky Love (Renee Maschmann) of Cedar Rapids, and James (Kariann) Plowman of Marengo, and grandchildren, Eric (Angelina) Plowman, Kayla Plowman, Sarah Fisher, Jesse Love, Trisha (Daloy) Veldhouse, Mike (Christine) Benson; and numerous great-grandhildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Rita Emerson.

Juanita Kay Porter was born September 17, 1938, on the country farm, the daughter of Maxwell William and Cathalene Rachel Ritchie Porter. She attended the country school, later receiving her GED in 1976. Juanita worked in the laborer assembly for Amana Refrigeration for 21 years. In her free time Juanita enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and gardening.
