Joyce Ann Huedepohl, was born August 27, 1933, near Conroy, Iowa, the daughter of Allan C and Anna R (Furler) Stanerson. She graduated from Hilton Consolidated School in Conroy. On July 16, 1952, she married Wilbert Arthur Huedepohl, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Conroy. She worked at the Conroy ASA office, Burg Insurance, and as a hostess at Colony Haus and a waitress and hostess at Ox Yoke. Joyce was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Conroy, the Altar Guild at Trinity and the Red Hat Society. She was a piano teacher for many years and a Mary Kay consultant. She was a gifted artist and enjoyed square dancing, playing cards, spending time with her family and attending and supporting the events of her grandchildren. Joyce died on Thursday, September 1, 2011, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, following a sudden illness, at the age of 78 years. Joyce is survived by her children: Rick (Joan) Huedepohl of Edgerton, WI, David (Cheryl) Huedepohl of Parnell, Cynthia (Mark) Sevcik of Cedar Rapids and Phillip (Misti) of Swisher; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; a brother Neal Stanerson of Conroy; 2 sisters Carol Coffin of Jacksonville, FL and Donna (Dennis) Moffatt of Windfield IL; and a sister-in-law Myrle Stanerson of Williamsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2005, a brother Victor Stanerson in 1978, a sister-in-law Betty Stanerson and a brother-in-law David Coffin. Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Conroy. Pastor Gary Sears will officiate. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4-7 PM at the Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg. A memorial fund has been established for Trinity Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Interparish School.
