Jorge Maldonado-Vazquez

Williamsburg- Jorge Alejandro Maldonado-Vazquez was born November 24, 1995, in Gomez Palacio, Durango, the son of Cristina Vazquez. He graduated from Williamsburg High School. Jorge attended Kirkwood Community College.  He was a mechanic for Pomp’s Tire Service. He enjoyed fixing cars, basketball, playing pool, watching action movies, spending time with friends, and eating spicy foods, Chinese food, sea food, Dragon Ball Z and Spongebob.  Jorge died on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, in Cedar Rapids, at the age of 27 years.

Jorge is survived by his mother Cristina Vazquez; his son, Adriel Alejandro Maldonado; a brother, Jose Maldonado -Vazquez; a sister, Kimberley Maldonado-Vazquez; a stepfather, Edwardo Alba and his grandmother, Mama Esther Rodriquez.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Valentin Vazquez Moreno, great grandpa Salome Rodriquez Crispin, great grandma Sebastiana Alvarez Godines and an uncle Lucio Enrique Maldondo.

Celebration of Life Service will be 4:00 pm on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg.  Visitation will be from 3:00 until service time.  Messages and tributes may be directed to www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
