Jon Robert Waterhouse, age 27 of Iowa City, and formerly of Keota, died suddenly on Friday, March 17, 2005 at his home in Iowa City. Jon was born on July 16, 1978 in Washington, Iowa, the son of James L. and Berna A. Hahn Waterhouse. He attended Keota High School for three years and graduated from City High School in Iowa City. Jon attended college at the University of Iowa and also in Minneapolis where he worked for Investment Companies. He was currently studying at the University of Iowa. Jon loved poetry and music and was an excellent pianist. He enjoyed cooking and preparing food. He loved his nieces and nephews. Jon is survived by his parents, Jim & Berna Waterhouse of Keota; two sisters: Lynnette Hultman and husband Larry of Keota - Jan Waterhouse and husband David Burbidge of Iowa City; a brother, Jamey Waterhouse and wife Traci of Keota; 9 nieces and nephews; and two grandmothers: Opal Hahn of Keota and Olletha Waterhouse of Washington. Memorial services are set for 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22nd at the United Church of Faith in Keota with Pastor Sally Graves officiating. Burial is in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. A General Memorial Fund has been established.
