John E. Fauler

PLEASANT HILL-John E. Fauler of Pleasant Hill, Iowa died Friday, January 2, 2015 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. He was 81 years old.
John was born October 16, 1933 in Keokuk County, the son of Frank and Kathleen (Coffman) Fauler. He was raised in Keota where he attended Keota Community schools through graduation from High School in 1951. John attended Parsons College in Fairfield. He entered the U.S. Army in Sept. 1955 and was discharged in Sept. 1957. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed classic cars, owning two Chevrolet Monte Carlos and a Ford GTE.
John was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Martha.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota, with Rev. Betsey Sue Niepert officiating. Burial will be at Keota Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
