Conroy- Joan Mary Enochson, was born April 5, 1934, in Conroy, Iowa, a daughter of Arnold and Ida ( Schwarting) Halverson. She attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Hilton Consolidated High School, Conroy in 1952. On August 17, 1952, she married LaVaughn Erteld, at Trinity Lutheran in Conroy. He passed away on February 13, 1963. She later married Keith Enochson on November 12, 1963, in Williamsburg, he died on January 31, 2001. She lived in the Conroy and Williamsburg communities most of her life. Joan was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Conroy, where she was a member of the stewardship and flower committees. She enjoyed watching sports and crossword puzzles. Joan died on Sunday, October 31, 2010, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, at the age of 76 years. She is survived by her children Jerry (Deb) Enochson of North Liberty, Brian (Jeana) Enochson of Point Pleasant, NJ and Julie (Ray) Herrick of Algonquin, IL; 7 grandchildren: Curtis, Molly and Tony Enochson, Amy and Kate Herrick and Kimberly and Elijah Enochson; 2 great grandchildren Drew and Kate Elizabeth Hodgson; and a sister Marjean (Norman) Glandorf of Williamsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands. Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 4, 2010, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Conroy. Rev Gary Sears will officiate. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Conroy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 4-7 PM at the Powell Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Williamsburg.
