SIGOURNEY-Jimmy Lee Foust, age 29, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Sigourney, died Saturday, October 21, 2006, at his parents' home in Sigourney, following an eight-month battle with cancer. Jimmy was born June 3, 1977, in Iowa City, to Rick and Kathy (Minks) Foust. He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1995 and attended the University of Iowa, Kirkwood Community College and graduated from Carlson College of Massage Therapy. Jimmy worked as a massage therapist in Biloxi, Mississippi for several years before moving to Phoenix, where he attended Mundus Golf Institute. While in Phoenix Jimmy managed a golf course. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed golfing, going to spring training baseball games, the Iowa Hawkeyes and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Survivors include his parents: Rick and Kathy Minks-Foust of Sigourney; one sister: Sara Zimmerman and husband Matt of Parnell; grandparents: Skip and Joanne Jemison of Sigourney and three nephews: Keaton, Zachary and Brody Zimmerman. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: William and Julia Foust. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at the Sigourney United Methodist Church with Rev. John Hembry officiating. Burial will be at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2006, at the church. A memorial fund has been established for Hospice of Keokuk County. Reynolds-Powell Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service in Sigourney is handling the arrangements.
