Jesusa "Jessie" Villarreal, 60, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, formerly of Texas, died suddenly on Sunday, June 22, 2008, at the Emergency Room of the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant. Ms. Villarreal's body has been cremated. There will not be any formal visitation or memorial services. The Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel of Mt. Pleasant is assisting the family with the arrangements. Born July 18, 1947, in Edinburg, TX, Jesusa was the daughter of Doroteo and Angelita Vega Villarreal. She spent her formative years in Wilson, TX. Throughout her life, Jesusa lived in Georgia, Texas, Nebraska, Florida and Iowa. For the past five months, she has lived in Mt. Pleasant. Jesusa was a meat processing line worker at the Louis Rich Foods in West Liberty, IA. She was very artistic and loved working with all art mediums, especially color pencil drawings. Jesusa was a diligent collector of Rooster memorabilia and a devout Dallas Cowboys fan. Ms. Villareal is survived by her son, Javier A. Silva of Coralville, IA; three sisters, Mary, Delia and Juanita; and three brothers, Ben, Tony and Martin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Janie (Vegas) Whaley of Mt. Pleasant, IA, with whom she lived. Jesusa was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Joe; and by five sisters, Demetria, Urbana, Sandra, Norma and Consuelo.
