Jeffrey Dean Wade

Williamsburg-Jeffrey Dean Wade was born June 22, 1976 in Marengo, Iowa, the son of John and Deanna (Eggert) Wade. He graduated from Williamsburg Community High School in 1995. In his youth he was active in 4-H and Boy Scouts. He has worked at Pizza Haus, Kind Care, Tanger Mall and the University of Iowa as a Dorm custodian. Jeff enjoyed Iowa Football, movies, reading, writing and spending time with children and his family. Jeff was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Williamsburg where he helped with the children's activities and enjoyed going on Mission Trips. He was also a member of Ladora United Methodist Church. Jeff passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at Marengo Memorial Hospital at the age of 39 years.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather: Deanna & Bill Cook of Marengo; a sister: Johnnette Kruse of Williamsburg; a nephew: Dakota Kruse (Brittney Collins); a niece: Chyanne Kruse (Chais Plank); aunts: Dixie (Jim) Moody of Monticello, IL, Crystal (Whitey) Benscoter of Marengo, Julie Wade of Florida; a uncle: Duane Wade of Alabama and cousins: Doug & Audra VanBennekom, Sara Benscoter, David & Megan Moody, Alex & Adriane Moody, Eric Moody, John Moody, Jill & Chris Tyson and a step grandmother: Nadine Primley Haley. He was preceded in death by his father John Wade, grandparents: Dean Eggert, Evelyn Eggert Gorsh, Vernon Gorsh, Doris Phillips and Carl Phillips.
Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 am Saturday, May 22, 2016 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Williamsburg. Burial will be in White Pigeon Cemetery near North English. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Memorials are for the St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
