Jeannette M. Cooney

Jeannette M. Cooney, age 69 of Johnston, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Bishop Drum Nursing Home in Johnston, Iowa. A private graveside service will be held for Jeannette at the Calvary Cemetery, Marengo, Iowa. Kloster Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

She is survived by siblings Mike (Jade) of Patriot, IN, Frank (Debbie) of Solon, and Tim (Janine) of Urbandale; along with nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Gary, Emmett, and Garth.

Jeannette Marie Cooney was born March 29, 1955, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Lois Hoyle Cooney.  She graduated from Iowa Valley High School in 1973. Jeannette attended Mercy Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in Iowa City and graduated in June of 1975. She served as a Radiology Technician at Iowa Falls Hospital and Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

Jeannette was a quiet observer of life. She will be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and for always being a great listener. She cherished her connections with close friends and family.
