Parnell- Jeanette Helen Wiebold, was born April 14, 1932, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Grover and Helen (Hetz) Stumpff. She attended Amana School. Jean was united in marriage to Robert John Wiebold on December 26, 1953, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Conroy. Jean worked as a wife, mother of four, helped on the farm along with working at the Woolen Mill, Crest Motel, Colony Haus Motel and the Holiday Inn. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, the monthly family dinners at the Ox Yoke in Amana, doing needle point, bird watching and puzzle books. Jean died on Monday, May 6, 2013, at the English Valley Care Center, North English, at the age of 81 years. She is survived by 2 sons: David (Deb) Wiebold and Duane (Margie) Wiebold all of Parnell; a daughter: Debbie (Denny) Whitaker of Grinnell; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother: Richard Stumpff of Vinton; two sisters: Druecilla (Dale) Slager of Anamosa and Joan Miller of Newhall and a sister-in-law: Mary Ann Stumpff of Middle Amana. She was preceded by her parents: husband Robert in 2010; a son Dennis Wiebold in 1997; a grandson Joshua Wiebold in 1990; three brothers: Roy, Don and Arthur Stumpff; a sister Sally; a brother-in-law: Warren Miller and two sisters-in-law Margaret and Marie Stumpff. Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg. Rev. Kirk Statler will officiate. Burial will be in the Yankee Point Cemetery, rural North English. Visitation will be on Friday, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home.
