Jeanette A. Craig, 90, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Saturday, August 6, 2011, at the Park Place Long Term Care Unit. According to her wishes, cremation will be accorded and no public service will be held. Family services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Friends may leave memorials and messages of remembrance at the Olson~Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday and Thursday, August 10th and 11th, during normal business hours. Memorials have been established to Park Place Long Term Care Unit or to the American Cancer Society. Born December 10, 1920, in Davenport, IA, Jeanette Anna was the daughter of Edward and Kathryn Hansen Osborne. She was a graduate of Davenport High School and attended beauty school. She married Glen Cason on December 24, 1950, in Davenport. He preceded her in death on December 9, 1978. During her younger years, Jeanette was a beautician and volunteered to style hair at the nursing home where her mother-in-law resided. Later she was a marketing manager for Von Maur. Jeanette was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Davenport, IA. She was a loving grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. In her spare time she liked golfing, walking, and bowling on a league. Jeanette is survived by a daughter, Alice (James) Widmer of Mt. Pleasant, IA; a son, James (Ali) Cason of Spokane, WA; and a daughter-in-law, Karen Eichelsdoerfer of Aberdeen, WA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Jeanette was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Eichelsdoerfer, along with four sisters, and four brothers.
