Three years later, Jean moved with her family to the family farm, belonging to her maternal grandparents, Elsie and John Powell, near Keota, IA. Jean spent her spare time listening to sports on the radio and watching them on television. She was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and never missed watching the Kentucky Derby. She was seldom seen without one or more pet cats. Those left to honor Jean's memory include a daughter, Sandi W. (Mark) Davis of Davenport, IA; a son, Kevin Scott Wagler of Mt.
