Jane Clement Evans was born on February 13, 1917, in Burt, IA, the daughter of Lester and Nina Blossom Clement. She graduated from Ames High, Stephens College, and Phi Beta Kappa from University of Iowa. She and her husband of 63 years, David Burton Evans, began Evans Photography Company in North English. They worked as a team in this enterprise and in raising their family. She was an active participant in her community as a member of the Methodist Church, North English Library Board, Eastern Star, P.E.O, Delta Gamma plus many committees and boards. Her lifetime love of cards connected her to friends and family of all ages and backgrounds. David preceded her in death in April 2004. She is survived by their children, Mary (Calvin) Collier, Lake Forest, Illinois; Robert (Nancy) Evans, North English; and Jane Ann (Bruce) McKenzie, Bainbridge Island, Washington. Also by her 8 loving grandchildren, Calvin (Catherine) Collier, David (Alicia) Collier, Elizabeth (Rick) Collier Clark; Anne (Brian) Evans Holt, John Evans; Mary (Ivan) McKenzie Rekosh, Allen McKenzie, Douglas McKenzie. Additionally 10 great-grandchildren hold her in their hearts. They are named Evans, William, Camille, Gracie, Kendall, Leighton, Brenna, David, Ben and Janie. Jane died peacefully on September 9, 2008, in Bradenton, FL. She lived 91 years, 6 months and 27 days. A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Jane and David Evans on October 18, 2008, at the North English Methodist Church at 4:00 p.m. There will be no visitation. The family invites friends to Knoll Ridge Country Club in North English, following the service to celebrate the lives of Jane and David. A memorial fund has been established for the Cystic Fibroses Foundation, English Valley Citizens' Scholarship Foundation or North English LOVENETWORK.
