WILLIAMSBURG-James "Tiny" Hall, age 71, of Williamsburg, died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness. Tiny was born November 4, 1935, at home in Green Valley, to Murray, Sr. and Bessie (Ponchaud) Hall. He grew up in the Millersburg area and graduated from Millersburg High School. Tiny lived in Marion for many years, where he worked for and retired from the Linn County Road Department. He was a member of the Marion Masonic Lodge #6, and Past Worthy Patron of Marion Chapter #183, Order of Eastern Star. He was a private pilot and enjoyed helping his many friends with farm work. Survivors include four daughters: Theresa (Mulford) Bornbach and husband Keith of Marion, Judy Cooper of Carrollton, Texas, Ruth Heffler of Carrollton, Texas and Sara Wiese and husband Clint of Marion; seven grandchildren; Masonic brother: Kelly Mulford of Marion; two sisters: Marjorie Goodman of Cedar Rapids and Merna Back and husband Tom of Palo; one brother: Earle Hall and wife Helen of Millersburg and one sister-in-law: Doris Hall of Williamsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Lisa Hall; three brothers: Murray, Jr., Wayne and Ronald and two sisters: Mary Hopp and Bessie M. Hall. A Masonic service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at the Powell Funeral Home in North English with Charles Jacobs officiating. Burial will be at Millersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2007, at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. A general memorial fund has been established.
