Ivan "Lindy" Redlinger

Ivan “Lindy” Redlinger was born November 29, 1930 in Keota, Iowa the son of Bernard and Lula (Baker) Redlinger. Ivan graduated from Wellman High School; he joined the Navy following graduation. On January 22, 1955 Ivan was united in marriage to Muriel Joan Spears in Kinross, Iowa. Ivan was the Mayor of Wellman and worked at the Wellman Farm Center. He enjoyed Iowa sports, Coffee at DJ’s, Mass at church, spending time with family, puzzles and driving around. Ivan was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Ivan passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at his home in Wellman at the age of 94 years.

 Ivan is survived by 2 sons, Tony (Jean) Redlinger of Tiffin, Scott (Christine) Redlinger of The Villages, Florida, 7 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and Daughter Pamela Redlinger.

Funeral Service will be held 10:30 AM Monday, December 9, 2024, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wellman. Rev. Bill Roush will officiate. Burial will be in the Wellman Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman where a Rosary will be recited at 1:30 PM.
