KEOTA-Hubert Weber, age 71, of Keota, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. Hubert was born January 30, 1943, in rural Richland, to Raymond N. and Bessie (Henry) Weber. He attended St. Mary's grade school and graduated from St. Elizabeth High School. On April 15, 1967 he married Janice Adrian at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Hubert served in the Iowa National Guard for six years. Hubert lived in the same house all his life, where he farmed and raised livestock. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and enjoyed playing cards and cribbage, playing on the computer, burning music on cd's, tinkering in his shop, spending time with his grandchildren and visiting with family and friends. Survivors include his wife: Janice of Keota; two sons: David (Donna) Weber and Steve (Mary) Weber, both of Sigourney; two daughters: Lori (Scott) Dickey of Hedrick and Susan (Dan) Wonders of Des Moines; son-in-law: Brent Frederick of Williamsburg; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers: Raymond H. Weber of Keota, Eugene (Virginia) Weber of Sigourney and Martin Weber of Yorkville, Illinois and sister: Mary (Bill) Kline of North Liberty. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter: Amy Frederick. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Holy Trinity Cemeteries - Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Clear Creek Township, with Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. There will be a time of fellowship following the service in the basement of Ss. Peter and Paul Church of Clear Creek Township. A general memorial fund has been established. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota is caring for Hubert and his family.
