Helen D. Perrott, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Friday, January 16, 2015, at Sunnybrook Assisted Living in Mount Pleasant. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Trey Hegar of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the First Presbyterian Church and Southeastern Iowa Renal Dialysis. Born July 3, 1934, in Mount Pleasant, IA, Helen Deloris was the daughter of Merle O. and Mary M. (Todd) Scarff. She was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. On March 12, 1966, she married Lee D. Perrott in Mount Pleasant. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2014. An active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Helen served as a Deacon. She was also a member of the Parish Life committee and cared for the children in the church nursery. Helen spent her working career in the billing department of Southeast Iowa Cooperative Electric Association. Helen's greatest fulfillment came from watching her grandchildren grow and thrive, along with attending their activities. An avid reader, she read her Bible daily. She liked animals and being outdoors. Helen is survived by two daughters, Tammy Perrott of Cedar Rapids, IA and Mary (Jason) Liechty of Mount Pleasant, IA; two sons, Greg (Deb) Perrott of Mount Pleasant, IA and Terry (Cindy) Perrott of Muscatine, IA; a brother, Robert (Phyllis) Scarff of Mount Pleasant, IA; two sisters, Rosemary (Jim) Smith of Mount Pleasant, IA and Patricia (Richard) Kerr of Burlington, IA. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Nathan Perrott, Rae Ann Perrott, Nelson Perrott, Cali Liechty, Anni Liechty and Elli Liechty, and four great-grandchildren. Preceding Helen in death were her parents; her husband, Lee Perrott; a grandson, Nicholas Lee Perrott; and two sisters, Ruth Van Trump and Roberta Callaway.
