Helen Lucille Bair

Williamsburg- Helen Lucille Bair was born April 4, 1925 in rural Iowa County, Iowa, the daughter of Forest & Pearl (Keller) Grimm. She was united in marriage to Clarence Bair Sr., to this union they were blessed with twelve children. She worked at Landmark in Williamsburg when it first opened for a number of years. Helen was a member of the Millersburg United Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, making quilts and caring for her grandchildren. Helen died on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, at the age of 90 years.

She is survived by her eleven children: Clarence Jr. of Oskaloosa, Carol VanGampleare of Brooklyn, Ronald Bair of Grinnell, Larry Bair of Victor, Colleen Bair of Williamsburg, Kathleen Bair of Oskaloosa, David Bair of Georgia, Kenneth Bair of Belle Plaine, Keith Bair of Grinnell, Russell Bair of Williamsburg and Dennis Bair of Coralville; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; a brother Melvin Grimm of Dysart and a sister Catherine Coffman of South English. She was preceded by her parents, husband, a daughter Barbara, two sisters Eva Worrall and Orpha Clubb; and two brothers LaVern and Kenneth Grimm.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg. Burial will be in the Community Cemetery, near Deep River.
