Helen Pollack, 91, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016, at Pleasant Manor Care Center. A private inurnment will be held at the Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL. The Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel assisted the family with the arrangements. On-line condolences may be directed to www.olsonpowell.com Born May 6, 1925 in Chicago, IL, Helen Leona Pollack, was the daughter of Stanley and Mary Marie (Sobeinski) Novack. She received her education in the Chicago school district. On September 5, 1946, she married Raymond John Pollack in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death in November 1975. Helen began her work career with RR Donnolley working on the printing presses. She became a devoted wife and homemaker. After her husband's passing, she did factory work at Oak Lawn. She later worked at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, IL until she retired. She moved to Mt. Pleasant to be close to her daughter 12 years ago. Helen enjoyed gardening and yard work. She loved to shop, listen to country western music and visit with her neighbors. She thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings where she could be with her children and their families. Helen adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Gerald's Catholic Church. Survivors include 3 children, Shirley (Mike) Long of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Richard (Barb) Pollack of O'Fallon, MO, and Robert Pollack of New York City, NY. Extended local family include her grandchildren, Kim (Keith) Perron and Jeff (Jill) Baker; and great grandchildren, Galen, Tenley and Lauren Perron, and Owen and Molly Baker. Her legacy continues with family still living in the Chicago area that was very close to her heart. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; a son, Raymond John Pollack; and her brothers and a sister. Cemetery Details Resurrection Cemetery Justice, IL,
