Harlan G. Berger was born July 21, 1935, in Wellman, Iowa; the son of Henry and Elma Berger. Shortly after the Korean War ended, he served in the U.S. Air Force. Years later, on March 28, 1964, he married Diane D. Dressler at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Harlan worked for Jaydon Distribution for over 30 years, making many friends along the way. He and Diane have called Coralville home since moving back in 1977. Harlan was a huge fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the St. Louis Cardinals. In his more youthful years, he enjoyed golfing and bowling, a good game of cards, and traveling with Diane. He was a hardworking man, but a gentleman, and never lost sight of what was most important - his family! His family includes his wife, Diane; children, Deb Negley (John) of Riverside, Rick Berger (Judy) of Louisville, KY, Dave Broadie (Cindy) of Davenport and Bonnie Hogan (Chuck) of Austin, TX; brother, Dennis Berger (Janice) of Wellman; 11 grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Doreen Dressler of Colorado Springs, CO.
