Grace Evelyn Miller

WELLMAN - Grace Evelyn Miller was born April 8, 1924 in Wellman, Iowa, the daughter of Ortis and Anna (Hochstetler) Miller. She attended Wellman High School. Grace worked at a Mennonite Hospital in LaJunta, Colorado in 1948 and then returned Wellman. She did housekeeping at a Doctor's home in Iowa City for 20 years. Grace was a member of the Wellman Mennonite Church. She volunteered for many years at the Wellman Senior Center. Grace died on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Parkview Manor in Wellman at the age of 93 years.
Grace is survived by several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Gladys.


Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at the Wellman Mennonite Church in Wellman. Rev. Nathan Ramer will officiate. Burial will be held prior to the service at 10:00 AM in the Wellman Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-7 PM on Monday, March 26, 2018 at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. A memorial fund has been established for the Wellman-Scofield Public Library.
