Gary Jack Winegarden

Webster- Gary Jack Winegarden was born March 8, 1946, in Sigourney, Iowa the son of Vernon Schilling & Susie Lucille (Hudson) Winegarden. He graduated from English Valleys High School in 1964 and later attended art school. On March 8, 1971, Jack was united in marriage to Pamela K Pfannebecker at the Keswick Methodist Church. Together with their son Damon, they owned and operated Winegarden Trucking, Inc. Pam passed away in 2004. Jack was later united in marriage to Donna Maire O’Rourke Carlson on May 29, 2006, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Keswick.  Jack was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in North English. He enjoyed drawing, trucking and spending time with his family. Jack died on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at the English Valley Care Center in North English, at the age of 77 years.

He is survived by his wife Donna of Webster; children Jeffrey Oxford of South English, Damon (Hailey Hawkins) Winegarden of Brooklyn, Shannon (Gary George) Rotter of South English, Mike (Melissa) Carlson of Imperial, Missouri, Carrie Schnuck of Ladue, Missouri and Katie (Clinton) Mikel of Plymouth, Michigan; grandchildren Luke, Rachel & Kayla Oxford, Madison, McKenna, Morgan & Laikyn Winegarden, Christopher & Parker Rotter, Abby & Kaylee Eyerman, Chloe & Violet Carlson, Oliver & Vivianne Schnuck, Lily Grace Snellgrove and Hunter, Griffin & Ainsley Mikel; great grandchildren Ian, Madison, Evelynn and Sawyer; brothers Richard (Pam) Winegarden of Seymour, Indiana, Lester (Jean) Winegarden of Holy Cross, Dean (Patty) Winegarden of Columbus Junction and Anthony (Nancy) Winegarden of Keswick; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents and his first wife Pamela.

Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in North English. The mass will be live streamed on our Powell Funeral Homes Facebook page and website. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 - 11:00 am at the church. A private family burial will be held at the Sorden Cemetery, rural Webster. A general memorial fund has been established. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
