Gail E. Miller was born on February 26, 1905, in Millersburg, IA, the daughter of Roberta and Della Berstler Wyant. She was united in marriage to Fred L. Miller on March 18, 1925. They farmed near North English for many years. Gail worked ten years as a nursing aid at the Williamsburg Care Center. She also volunteered many years at the East Iowa Bible Camp in the craft department. She became a resident of the Nursing Center in Montezuma in December 2000. Gail lived 100 years, 4 months and 24 days. Gail E. Miller, age 100, died due to failure to thrive on Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at the Montezuma Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Montezuma, IA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, July 23, 2005, at the Powell Funeral Home in North English, IA with Pastor Edwin Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the Millersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Powell Funeral Home in North English starting one hour before the Service on Saturday. (9:30 - 10:30 am) She is survived by a son Glenn Miller and wife Joan of North English, IA; a granddaughter JoGlenna Goodman and husband Gene of Grinnell, IA; two great grandchildren: Ryan Goodman and wife Anita of Taylors, SC and Renee Stadnick and husband John of Altamonte Springs, FL; two great great grandchildren: Elaina Gail Goodman & Emma Joy Stadnick; and a sister Edna McMenomy of Williamsburg, IA. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Charles Wyant and sisters Grace Brawner, Mable Taylor and Lottie Powers. A general memorial fund has been established.
