Gail Daniels, 34, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Burlington, IA, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at her home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 20th from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Memorial Chapel, with Mr. Eddie Magee officiating. Ms. Daniel's body will be cremated following the service. On line condolences may be directed to www.olsonpowell.com. Born January 16, 1978, in Chicago, IL, Gail Ophilia Allomie Daniels was the daughter of John E. and Elizabeth G. (Ellis) Daniels, Jr. She spent her formative years in the Chicago suburb of Riverdale, where she attended the Aldrige Middle School. Gail loved being a homemaker and taking care of her son, Dontrell. She thoroughly enjoyed drawing and painting; particularly drawing horses and scenic pictures. Gail spent a lot of time traveling throughout the country, but may have enjoyed her trips to San Diego, the best. She was a fan of many sit com shows. Her greatest love was spending time with her son and all of her special family members. Gail is survived by her son, Dontrell Rice of Burlington, IA; her mother, Elizabeth "Coco" Daniels of Mt. Pleasant, IA; her step-father, Lawrence "Smooth" Reed of Mt. Pleasant, IA; three brothers, Lawrence Ellis of Chicago, IL, Curtis Ellis of Mt. Pleasant, IA and John E. Daniels III of Burlington, IA; and two sisters, Permelia Ellis of Burlington, IA and Teresa Ellis of Chicago, IL. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, John E. Daniels, Jr. and by her grandparents.
