Mrs. Frances E. Campbell, 92, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Sunday, November 25, 2012, at the Henry County Health Center. Visitation will begin after 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel where the family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. that evening. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday the 29th at the Memorial Chapel with Pastors Ken Smith and Mike Hess officiating. Burial will be in the White Oak Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Calvary Baptist Church for the assisted hearing ministry. On line condolences may be directed to www.olsonpowell.com. Born March 31, 1920, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Frances Elnora was the daughter of John and Mary (Brownell) Ingwersen. She attended country schools in the Trenton area. On August 8, 1948, she married Donald Franklin Campbell. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1991. Frances began working as a production worker at Sheaffer Pen in Mt. Pleasant. She later worked at the Iris Restaurant where she made the salads and managed the salad bar. She retired from employment in 1982 from Heatilator where she worked as a machine and punch press operator. A dedicated fifty year member of the Church of the Nazarene, Frances served on the church board and taught Sunday school. She currently attended Calvary Baptist Church. Her love of nature involved her in outdoor activities such as yard work, gardening, and raising rabbits and chickens. She was a fishing enthusiast and spent many hours at Oakland Mills. She handcrafted many wood ornaments. Survivors include three sons, Donald Duane Campbell of McAllen, TX; Dennis (Cynthia) Campbell of Fulton, MO, and Dan (Judy) Campbell of Mt. Pleasant, IA; six grandchildren, Tonya Campbell, Bethany (Nathan) Reid, Shawn (Jennifer) Campbell, Justin Campbell, Scott (Jennifer) Campbell, and Sara Campbell; and two great grandchildren. Along with her husband, Frances is preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Raymond, Carl and Harlan Ingwersen.
