Conroy- Ethel M Stanerson, was born April 22, 1922, near Homestead, Iowa the daughter of Edward and Rose (Kuhnle) Vogt. She graduated from Conroy High School. She was a temporary postal clerk in Conroy. On June 20, 1946, she married Edwin S Stanerson at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Conroy, WELCA and a charter member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary, Williamsburg. She enjoyed crosswords, puzzles, playing cards, sports, following the Cardinals and Hawkeyes, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ethel died on Monday, September 26, 2011, at the Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo, at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her children: Larry & Julie Stanerson, Keith & LaMar Stanerson all of Conroy, Dean Stanerson of Wellman, Coleen & David Yearian and Barbara Stanerson all of Williamsburg; 10 grandchildren: Brian (Barb) Stanerson, Troy (Dena) Stanerson, Bridget Stanerson, Joel (Heather) Stanerson all of Conroy, Toby (Sonya) Stanerson of Riverside, Cory (Hayley) Yearian, Stacy (Mark) Horvath , Shannon (Tuffy) Hummer, Michaela Stanerson all of Williamsburg and Scott (Christina) Yearian of West Allis, WI; 20 great grandchildren; Trevor, Kyleigh, Ellie, Jenna, Siena, Kiera, Tucker and Sidney Stanerson, Jocelyn and Madison Schaefer, Bryce, Jenna, Jordyn, Hayden, Bella, and Elena Yearian, Demi and Karli Horvath and Logan & Taylor Hummer.; a sister Dorothy (Robert) Martinson and a brother-in-law Walter Stanerson of Williamsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ed and brother Clifford Vogt. Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30 AM on Friday, September 30, 2011, at the First Lutheran Church, North of Conroy. Rev Donald Dovre will officiate. Burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from 4-7 PM with a Ladies VFW Auxiliary Service at 7:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg.
