Williamsburg- Ethel June Renner, was born June 13, 1932, in Williamsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Clifford and Thelma Loretta (King) Claypool. She attended Williamsburg High School. Ethel was married on May 1, 1953 to Fredrick Renner; to this union they were blessed with three children: Deborah, Daniel and James. The couple later divorced. She worked in a number of positions such as the grocery store, retail, housekeeping and a was a school bus driver. She later worked in the parts department for Allied Signal Aero Space, in Tempe, AZ. Ethel lived in Arkansas, Arizona and Missouri, before moving back to Iowa. Ethel enjoyed singing in the church choir, playing the piano, roller skating, visiting with family and friends and the T.O.P.S Club. Ethel died on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at the Highland Ridge Care Center, Williamsburg, at the age of 81 years. She is survived by her children:Dr. Deborah Hull of Tempe, AZ, Daniel (Jackie) Renner of Florence, AZ and James (Brenda) Renner of Williamsburg; 2 grandchildren: Heather Hull of Carbondale, IL and Kevin Hull of Tempe, AZ; 2 sisters: Ruth (Jim) Worrall of Green Forest, AR and Pauline Huedepohl of North English; and a brother: James (Charlene) Claypool of Berryville, AR. She was preceded by her parents, an infant daughter: Diane Kay and a son-in-law: David Hull. Celebration of Life Service will be held at Noon on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at the Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg. Pastor Gary Van Heukelom will officiate. Burial will be in the Yankee Point Cemetery, rural North English. Visitation will be Saturday, from 11:00 am until service time at the Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg.
