KEOTA-Esther See, age 100, of Keota, died Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Washington County Hospital in Washington.
Esther was born July 1, 1918, in Keota, to Henry and Myrtle (Reighard) Trier and attended Keota High School. On October 21, 1938, she married Richard See in Lancaster, Missouri. A lifelong Keota resident, Esther worked at Gamble's for 24 years. She also volunteered at the care center every day for many years. Esther was a member of the Christian Church and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and making homemade noodles.
Survivors include her son-in-law: Kenneth Striegel of Ollie; four grandchildren: Mark (Jodee) Striegel, Eric (Lori) Striegel, Heidi Wide and Aaron (Stacey) Striegel; eight great grandchildren: Samantha, Kevin, Kylan, Michael, Lindsay, Leah, Greyson and Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter: Linda Striegel; three brothers: Boyd, Gail and Dean Trier and sister: Edith Stoutner.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, March 18, 2019, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota. Burial will be at Keota Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, March 17, 2019, at the funeral home.
