Esther Lou Moser was born September 19, 1929, in Amana, Iowa the daughter of Henry J. Moser and Louise Moser Pitz. She graduated from Amana High School in 1947 and married Clarence A. Reihmann on September 16, 1950, in Amana. They moved to their lifelong home in Middle Amana, where they raised their two daughters. They were blessed with nearly 70 years of marriage. Esther was employed by the Amana Community Schools, serving for many years in the school’s lunch program. Later she worked at the Amana Society Woolen Mills Salesroom. Esther enjoyed reading, cooking and baking, water aerobics and volunteering at Colonial Manor. She and Clarence enjoyed many travels in the United States as well as Germany and other countries. In Middle Amana, they loved walking each evening, listening to music and singing hymns and folksongs, and enjoying their yard, birds, and flowers. She was blessed with a quick wit and gentle humor that endeared her to family and many, many, friends.

Esther was a member of the Amana Church Society, teaching Sunday School when her children were young. As Esther was faced with life’s challenges her faith remained strong, as she served her Lord with an open heart each day. Our family is comforted by knowing Esther is reunited with Clarence, her daughter Julie, and all those she loved so dearly.

Our sincere and special thanks to Colonial Manor staff, Aspen Therapy, and Essence of Life Hospice for their loving compassion and care.
