Elsie Leta Netser, was born on January 31, 1924, in Richmond, Iowa, a daughter of Fred & Rosa (Lasek) Ambrose. Elsie recieved her education in the Iowa City schools. Elsie was united in marriage to Donald Wayne Netser in Kahoka, MO on April 5, 1942. They made their home east of North English. Donald preceded her in death in July 1993. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her primary interests. She was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed working outside in her garden and beautiful flower beds. Elsie passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 20, 2008, of cancer. She lived 84 years, 5 months and 20 days. She is survived by her children- Fred Netser and wife Marvel of Vinton, Donald Netser Jr. of North English, Janice Trumpold and husband Henry of Marengo, Gary Netser and wife Kathy of Conroy; Becky Trieschmann and friend Mike Driscoll of Williamsburg, Debra Netser of Parnell, and Jeff Netser of North English; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald in July 1993; 3 sisters- Edith, Velma and Dorothy; 3 brothers- Farrell, Floyd and Elwin; and one grandson. Funeral Services will be held at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North English on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Ben Wilson officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from 4-7 pm. Burial will be in the Piersol Cemetery near North English.
