Ella Louise Woolley, 82, of the Sunnybrook Assisted Living complex in Mt. Pleasant, IA, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016. According to her wishes, her body has been cremated and no visitation or services will be held. Gifts of love and friendship may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa at 118 N Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, IA 52641. On-line condolences can be directed to www.olsonpowell.com. Born on July 12, 1934, in Mt Pleasant, IA, Ella Louise was the daughter of William and Roxina Blanche (Scott) Young. She graduated from Mt Pleasant High School in 1952. On Jan 13, 1951, Louise married Jim R. Wandling. They divorced in 1958. On February 14, 1971, she married Daniel M. Woolley. Louise worked at the Henry County Hospital as a bookkeeper for 18 years. Then she moved to Clinton where she worked at the Clinton Corn Processing Plant. Later Louise and Dan moved to La Jolla, CA where she worked at the Mission Bay Hospital as a data processing coordinator. Later, she worked briefly at Ethan Allen in San Diego as a bookkeeper. In 1990, Louise and her husband retired to Gerald, MO, and then in 1996, they moved back to Mt. Pleasant to a place on Maple Leaf Drive. In, 2015, after her husband's death, she moved to Sunnybrook Assisted Living.Louise enjoyed crocheting, knitting, embroidering, reading, playing cribbage, doing crossword puzzles, and watching the Chicago Cubs and Jeopardy. She especially enjoyed her family, friends, and the staff at Sunnybrook. Louise is survived by her wonderful friend, Charlie Adams of Winfield, IA; two daughters, Sydney (Denny) Calhoun of Summersville MO and Susan Swailes of New London, IA; one son, Steven (Carolyn) Wandling of Mt Pleasant, IA; two step-daughters, Carolyn (John) Gross of Iowa City, IA and Jeannine (Bruce) Eltrich of Salem, CO, IA; two step-sons, Michael Wooley of Glenwood Springs, CO and Richard Woolley of Longmont, CO; one-step sister, Nona (Jack) Roe; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husbands, Louise was preceded in death by her step-father, Omer Seberg; two brothers, James Young and Leonard Young; five half-brothers, Karl Young, William Young, Bruce Young, Horace Young, and Charles Young; and one half-sister, Mary (Young) Meade.
