Elizabeth Jane Miller

KALONA - Elizabeth Jane Miller, 82 of Kalona passed away in Phoenix, Arizona, from complications of a stroke on Saturday, May 6, 2017. She was born March 13, 1935, in Inola, Oklahoma, to John L. and Mary (Yoder) Chupp.
She accepted Christ as her personal savior in her youth and was a member of the Sharon Bethel Church in Kalona. She was married to Menno L. Miller in Chouteau, Oklahoma on November 20, 1958. She was a housewife that loved to spend time with family and friends and enjoyed quilting, baking, gardening, reading, fishing, watching birds and enjoying the winter months in Arizona.
Elizabeth is survived by her 3 sons Nelson (Glenda) of Fay, OK, Lloyd of Moundridge, KS, Larry of Wellman; 4 daughters Lovina Miller and Gerry Mauro of Glendale, AZ, Ruth (Manuel) Miller of Wellman; LaVertta (Randy) Hochstetler of Grabill, IN, Lucille Miller of Kalona; 10 grandchildren, Jordan, Brooke, Dakota, Summer, Tristan (Jesslyn), Alisha (Jayson) Rozeboom, Teresa, Madison, Trevor, Aubrie; and 6 siblings, EJ (Ida) Chupp of Ionla, OK, Lydia Mae Chupp of Flemingsburg, KY, Johnny (Katie Mae) Chupp of Inola, OK, Mary Fern Chupp of Kalona, Freda Chupp of Inola, OK, Esther (Jake) Hershberger of Inola, OK, a sister-in-law Susie Chupp of Inola, OK, 1 aunt, 1 uncle and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Menno L. Miller, March 18, 2016, parents, granddaughter Brittany Hochstetler, and a brother Noah Ray Chupp.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 15, 2017, at the Fairview Mennonite Church in rural Kalona. Ministers in charge are Delmar Bontrager, Jacob Yoder and Gabriel Beachy. Burial will be in the Sharon Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-8 PM on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at the Fairview Mennonite Church where the family will greet friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A memorial fund has been established for Americare Hospice and Palliative Care of Arizona. The Yoder-Powell Funeral Home is caring for Elizabeth and her family.
