Eileen Kudobe

Eileen Kudobe, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, passed away, Friday, January 16, 2015, at the Pleasant Manor Care Center. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Inurnment will be at a later date. A memorial has been established to Pleasant Manor Care Center. Born May 30, 1931 in Franklin, IA, she was the daughter of John and Katherine (Kroll) Weiss. She graduated from Denmark High School. On November 11, 1950, she married Keith Kudobe in Franklin, IA. He preceded her in death on January 3, 2011. Eileen worked at Peasant Manor Care Center in dietary. As a homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, and cooking. As a couple, they enjoyed traveling and camping across the United States. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed going to bible studies. Survivors include one daughter, Donna (Bruce) Carlson of Sioux Falls, SD; one son, Darrell (Debra) Kudobe of Mt. Pleasant, IA; four grandchildren, Nathaniel (Rebecca) Lee, Kyle Kudobe, Rachel Kudobe, and Emily (Zach) Sunderland; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding her in death are her parents; husband; one brother, John; and four sisters, Mary, Inez, Arva, and Suzanne.
