Edna P. Faas was born December 17,1929 near Williamsburg, Iowa. The daughter of Adolph and Minnie (Glandorf) Wardenburg. She attended Immanuel Parochial School and graduated from Williamsburg High School. Edna was united in marriage to Dairyl Faas on December 16, 1949 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Edna was a long life resident of the Iowa County area. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Millersburg where she was active in Ladies Aide and LWML, she also enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and spending time in the garden. Edna died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City at the age fo 81 years. She is survived by her husband Dairyl of Millersburg; two daughters: Elaine Faas (special friend Patti Foltz) of Cedar Rapids and Debra (Phil) Faas-Schoenthaler of Cedar Rapids; a son: Duane (Sheryl) Faas of Ames; grandson: Joshua (Mindy) Faas of Ames, 4 great grandchildren: Kaleb, Khloe, Kamryn and Kenndi; a sister: Elda Shine of Victor. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Harvey Wardenburg, 2 sisters: Selma Plotz and Irma Dellamuth and a great granddaughter Karli Jo Faas. Celebration of life service will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Pastor Paul Nus will officiate. Burial will be in the Millersburg Cemetery.. Visitation will be Friday, October 14, 2011 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg. Memorials have been established for U of I Hospital Palitive Care Unit or Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aide.
