"Duce" Lynn A. Holland

“Duce” Lynn A. Holland, age 75, of Blairstown passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo after a long courageous battle with cancer. A private family graveside service will be held. In Duce’s honor please dress in casual attire and wear a ballcap. A celebration of life will be held for Duce in March of 2024. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to the family. Kloster Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Duce is survived by his wife Diane, his son Ty (Darcy) Holland; three grandchildren Lindsey (Zach) Nelson, Tait, and Kessley ; a great-granddaughter Holland Kay; his brothers-in-law Duane (Cindi) Andrew, Dennis (Judy) Andrew; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Diane’s parents Virgil and Arlene Andrew and his brother-in-law Danny Andrew.

Lynn Andrew Holland was born March 13, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Mayo and Rozella Primrose Holland. He graduated from Norway high school in 1968. Duce was united in marriage to Diane Andrew on December 20, 1969, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Norway. He worked as a maintenance utility operator for W.R. Grace “Cryovac” in Cedar Rapids for 42 years, retiring in 2009. Duce also farmed the local area with Greg Becker and Tom Hagen for many years. Duce enjoyed hosting many get together’s, and especially spending time with his family. He dearly loved his family. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and helping out at the Watkins Car shows. He loved going to Red Lake and Nestor Falls in Ontario, Canada. Duce will be greatly missed by many.
