Douglas Noble, 52, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, in Mt. Pleasant. A visitation will begin at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel where the family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. that evening. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. A memorial has been established in his name. Born April 13, 1961, in Muscatine, IA, Douglas Wayne was the son of Dean Edward and Betty Jean (George) Noble. He was a 1982 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. On March 9, 1985, he married Karen S. Hanna in Mt. Pleasant. The couple later divorced. Doug was a cement finisher, worked for H. Eugene Smith Construction, and most recently was employed by Robert L. Smith Construction. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family. He enjoyed metal detecting, was a coin collector, and collected arrowheads, as well. Doug liked to fish, camp, and cook. He especially enjoyed smoking meat. Survivors include two daughters, Krystal (Edgar) Perez and Laura Noble, both of Mt. Pleasant, IA; a son, Kyle Noble of Mt. Pleasant, IA; a grandson, Austin Tyler Adams of Mt. Pleasant, IA; and an expected grandchild to be born in October. He is also survived by three brothers, Mike (Judy Gholson) Noble of Salem, IA, Danny Noble of New London, IA, and Dean Noble of Mt. Pleasant, IA; a sister, Lynn (Kenny) Szewczyk; his girlfriend, Sandra Hoover of Wayland, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Doug was preceded in death by two sisters, Deana "Katy" Brooks, and Debbie Carpenter.
