Williamsburg- Dorothy Mae Schultz was born July 12, 1920, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of LeRoy & Orpha Dell (Spurgon) Clark. She attended Wilson High School in Cedar Rapids. On August 8, 1937, she was united in marriage to Otis "Cricket" Schultz in Dubuque. Together they farmed, owned & operated Schultz Repair, a bar in Marengo, the Hometown Café in Millersburg and a clothing store. Dorothy was a member of the Zion Reformed Church. She loved to have her home full of family, to cook & bake and was an artist. There wasn't anything she couldn't do. Dorothy died on Friday, May 16, 2014, at her home, near Millersburg, at the age of 93 years. She is survived by three children: Richard Schultz and Debra Schultz both of Williamsburg and Frank (Linda) Schultz of Bettendorf; grandchildren: Jeni (John) Schropp, Jeremy Schultz, Jackie (Mark) Schultz, Jon (Bobbi Jo) Schultz, Aaron Schultz, Lindsey (Pete) Satterlee, Niki Keeter, Caroline (Brittanie) Schultz; twenty three great grandchildren; three great, great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents; husband in 1980; a daughter Judy Slaymaker; grandson Jason Schultz; a daughter-in-law Debby Schultz; two sisters and three brothers. Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held 1:00 PM on Monday, May 19, 2014, at the Zion Cemetery, rural Williamsburg. Rev. Michelle Williamson will officiate. Memorials may be given to the Millersburg First Responders. Powell Funeral Home & Cremation Service, North English, is in charge of services.
