Dorothy Ellen Miller

Dorothy Ellen (Yoder) Miller was born June 24, 1928 in Kalona, Iowa, the daughter of Ed G. and Anna Yoder. In her youth she was baptized in the Old Order Amish Church and was a faithful member until her death. She was united in marriage to Eddie J. Miller on March 20, 1951. She peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, June, 11, 2016 at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 18 days.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Eddie of 65 years; a daughter Anna Marie (Mrs Neal) Borntrager of Kalona; 3 sons, Nelson and wife Donna of Kalona; Alfred and wife Laura of Nappanee, IN; Rodger and wife Lorena of Breman, IN; a son-in-law Earl T. Miller of Windsor, MO; 27 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 4 brothers, Chriss Yoder of Kalona; J. Ed Yoder of Goshen, IN; MarvinYoder and Alton Yoder of Crofton, KY; and a brother-in-law Hermon Miller of Guthrie, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Carol Miller, an infant son Waldo James, a grandson Albert E. Miller, 3 brothers Sylvanus Yoder, Thomas Yoder, Lewis Yoder, and 3 sisters Viola (Mrs Jacob) Schlabach, Edna Yoder and Lydia Anna (Mrs Herman) Miller.

Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 AM Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the Eddie J. Miller residence at 5564 Eagle Ave SW in rural Kalona. Burial will be in the Brenneman Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday and will continue all day on Tuesday at the Eddie J. Miller residence. The Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona is in charge of the arrangements.
