Dorothy E. “Butch” Miller, age 76, of Brooklyn, formerly of Belle Plaine, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at Brooklyn Community Estate, Brooklyn. Inurnment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine, at a later date. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Dorothy is survived by her siblings, Patsy Sutfin, of Belle Plaine, and Bill (Deborah) Mouchka, of Brooklyn; and her best friend Marilyn Sokol. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene, and two sisters, Janet Stull and Betty Jean Mangano.
Dorothy Ellen Mouchka, was born January 23, 1944, in rural Ladora, the daughter of Benny and Lydia (Fisher) Mouchka. She attended school in Ladora. Dorothy was united in marriage to Larry “Gene” Miller on May 25, 1995, in Warsaw, Missouri. She raised cattle and hogs in the Belle Plaine area, before starting her own upholstery business, Dorothy’s Upholstery. Dorothy enjoyed talking on the telephone.
