Donna Mae Teets

WELLMAN - Donna Mae Teets was born July 30, 1932 in Wellman, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy (Blum) Teets. She graduated from Wellman High School in 1950 and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She lived in Texas for 10 years and then moved back to Wellman. Donna worked for the Mid-Prairie Community School District for 27 years as the school nurse. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. She enjoyed listening to county and old time music. Donna passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at the Halcyon House in Washington at the age of 85 years.
Donna is survived by a brother Dave and wife Margi Teets of Kalona; a sister-in-law Marge Teets of Wellman and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Bob Teets.

Celebration Of Life Service will be 10:00 am Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. Burial is in the Wellman Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 1, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. A general memorial fund has been established for future Nursing students.
