Donald L. Stoutner

Donald L. Stoutner, age 82, of Brighton, Colorado, passed in his sleep Friday, November 2, 2018, at Avamere Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Brighton, Colorado.
Donald was born March 20, 1936, in Keota, Iowa, to Albert and Geraldine Stoutner and graduated from Keota High School in 1954. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Donald worked in the earth moving and construction business and also for United Airlines at the Ticket Counter, retiring at age 74. In 1993, at age 57, he started racing Sprint Cars from Colorado to Iowa until 2010. He also raced flat track and TT in California. From 2011 until his passing he lived how he wanted. Don had a full life, made a lot of friends and had lots of acquaintances from construction and racing. He will be remembered for the Marine, father, brother and son that he was.
Survivors include his son: Kurt Stoutner of Brighton, Colorado and sister: Judith Stinemates of Broomfield, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per Donald's wishes, his body will be cremated. Memorial services will be held in the spring of 2019.
