Donald Dean Gorsch was born on April 4, 1949 in Sigourney, Iowa, a son of Lornie E. and Laurene E. (Dhondt) Gorsch. He grew up in the Millersburg community and graduated from Deep River-Millersburg High School in 1967. Donald served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Millersburg American legion Post #521. On September 7, 1974, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Montross in Millersburg. They made their home in Marion, Iowa until moving to Millersburg in 2009. Donald work many years at Burger King in Cedar Rapids. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and baking. He died in his home on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the age of 64 years. Donald is survived by his wife Phyllis of Millersburg; two sons: Joe Gorsch and Jimmy Gorsch both of Marion; three grandchildren: Bentleigh, Tavian and Jaxon Gorsch; a sister Barb Adix of Belle Plaine, IA and a brother Bill McFadden of Cedar Rapids, IA; He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Brian and a sister Catherine Gorsch.
